Barney (you can check out his profile and apply to adopt him here) is our very first foster dog of 2020! I didn’t think the assigned name suited him so I’ve been calling him Jasper instead (doesn’t he look much more like a Jasper!?)
Jasper has had a tough time – all we know is that the poor guy was found in a field wrapped in a trash bag and locked in a crate. It breaks my heart when I hear stuff like this – I just can’t understand how a person could do that to a dog.
But now he’s safe with me and I’m working hard to get him in better shape. I’ve designed a special diet to help him gain weight and build muscle and he’s welcome to all the treats he wants.
He’s such a sweet boy – follows me around everywhere I go, loves head pets, and has comically expressive ears. I know he’s going to make someone very happy!
