There are a few pet stores in within walking distance of our house (and my dogs know exactly where each and every one of them is) but I most often frequent one called Ideal Pets (the store is great, the website is awful). It’s the closest one to our house and happens to be along a nice walking route. Every time we approach the pet store my dogs, Ranger especially, goes nuts trying to drag me to it.
Today was no different! Except this time I also had my latest foster dog with me (he is called Barney but I renamed him Jasper because it just fits him so much better). This foster dog, a scruffy and skeletal border terrier mix, has had a particularly tough life so I have been spoiling him a little extra.
So I allowed them to pull me into the pet store hoping I will be able to get out of there without spending a fortune and luckily I succeeded. I managed to only buy three things: two frog-shaped dental treats that Ranger and Grizzly “picked out” and a dog scarf by Tall Tails. I have seen similar products around but this one was right in front of me, super cute, and not expensive (a relief after seeing a $52 dog sweater and nearly choking).
The scarf is made of 100% Polyester and is machine washable and dryable (a must for anything dog-related). I got this one (size small) but they also had in stock a blue plaid one. One end of the scarf slips through a slit in the other end of the scarf allowing it to stay on the dog. This also makes the dog scarf adjustable to fit a variety of neck sizes. As you can see from the price tag I paid $6.99 for it (plus tax).

So of course I made all three dogs try it on. Dog fashion show!
Grizzly makes a perfect dog model and is currently taking gigs if you’re interested π

Ranger is a little harder to photograph but I must say of the three of them I think it looks the best on him. Maybe it’s because it matches his fur!

And last but not least, my foster dog Jasper. He is super difficult to take photos of as he doesn’t know any commands and just wants to walk towards me. I did my best.

This photo of his face is awful – all of the photos I took of him were blurry because he refused to stand still!) but I wanted to share it anyway. Even blurry he’s adorable!

Unfortunately I couldn’t find these dog scarves on sale on the company’s website or Amazon page (weird!) but here are a few others I came across that I think are pretty cool:
Cheepet Dog Scarves (2 Pieces)
United Pups Cable Sweater with Scarf
I like this style of dog neckwear because bandanas – while totally cute we own like twenty of them – can get kind of boring. Always good to have a few different options to keep your pups lookin’ fresh.
Note: I may receive a small compensation when you buy something on Amazon through these links. It helps pay for all the dog treats. Thanks!
