Seattle Dog Park: Marymoor Dog Park

Okay, so technically Marymoor Dog Park isn’t in Seattle. It’s in Redmond – about a 45 minute drive from Seattle. While we don’t take our dogs there too often (the drive being a deterrent) we do take them there frequently enough to warrant being written about!

Marymoor Dog Park is one of the best dog parks I’ve been to – which is why we make the drive out there. It covers 40 acres and features over six miles of trails and we’ve never had any trouble finding parking.

When you first walk into the dog park you enter into a large open area.

After spending some time running around you follow the wood chip path towards the water. The path will take you past multiple water access points, benches to sit down on, and portable toilets (for humans).

The water access is one of the big draws of Marymoor Dog Park. It’s a great, safe spot for your pup to enjoy some time in the water as it’s a calm river (the “Sammamish”) rather than ocean. Unfortunately our dogs don’t enjoy the water and prefer instead to watch the other dogs enjoying a swim.

The walking path also includes an adorable little bridge:

Our dogs love it here – we just wish we could make it out there more often! Now that the weather is warming up again we’ll probably be making a visit soon.
