For Christmas Eve this year we ordered a fried chicken dinner from Sisters & Brothers. We went over to lower Queen Anne to pick it up but arrived early so we could take a walk around the area.
We weren’t looking for an off-leash dog park, but we found one! We started walking through the park at the northern entrance and walked around and down to the Kinnear Park Off-Leash Area at the bottom. The top area of the park is very nice, and you may run into some off-leash dogs as we did so be aware of that. Once you hit the dotted line path on this map, though, there is a homeless encampment off to the side of the path. You have to walk past it to get to the off-leash area and we didn’t feel super safe doing so, to be honest. So I would recommend not going when it’s dark and not going alone.
The park itself isn’t really a destination worth traveling for – but it makes a great addition to an already planned day. It’s a pretty small little area without much room for the dogs to run around and no interesting amenities.
