I’ve been grooming my aussiedoodles for five years now and have tried a variety of tools to de-mat my dogs. Matting is the worst part of doodle fur – and often it has to be shaved off because there isn’t much else that can be done.
Recently I purchased this Poodle Pet Dematting Fur Rake Comb and it is AMAZING. It looks a little scary and kinda ugly but it’s only $14.99 (as of today, anyway) and it works miracles on my aussiedoodle’s matted coats. They put up with it better than a lot of the other grooming tools I’ve tried, too. The sharp edges cuts right through matted fur and after a session of grooming they are completely matt-free and soft.
I have not been compensated in any way for this post – it’s seriously just the best tool for grooming aussiedoodles and I had to share it with you. I pair it with some de-tangling spray but that’s not necessary.
