Aussiedoodles: Stuffed Toy Destroyers

All dogs destroy their toys, that’s what they are for. My dogs, however, are very focused toy destroyers. You won’t see a stuffed toy completely disemboweled in pieces all over the house, you’ll see a toy in almost perfect, pristine condition except that in one small area they have torn a hole and stuffing is flowing out. And they are trying to eat it.

As cute as they are, I have mostly given up on stuffed toys. If they thoroughly destroyed them it’d be different – but it’s frustrating having to throw away a toy that is in perfect condition except one small but significant area.

I give you photographic evidence:

Ranger waits patiently while I photograph his stuffed toy graveyard. That’s their dog toy box – the lid lifts up. Yes they have that many toys.

See? One tiny hole and I have to take the toy away. I am going to attempt to sew these shut well enough that the dogs can get some more use out of them, but I don’t have high hopes.

I now buy stuffingless toys – they can rip as many holes in them as they want to and I don’t have to worry about the stuffing being pulled out, strewn all over the house, or eaten. I highly recommend you get your Aussiedoodle stuffingless toys. I think it’s the Poodle in them that make them particularly enjoy pulling stuffing out.

They’ve enjoyed playing with the Multipet Loofa Floppy Light-Weight No Stuffing Dog Toy and the Multipet Empty Nester with Squeakers but No Stuffing Dog Toy (boy they sure know how to name their products…) both found on Chewy.com. I love Chewy, but that’s a whole other blog post.

Aussiedoodles Love Stuffingless Dog Toys

As you can see, Grizzly isn’t as patient with my photography. He also clearly prefers the ducky toy!

Note: I may receive a small compensation when you buy something on Amazon through these links. It helps pay for all the dog treats. Thanks!
