We spent a beautiful weekend in dog-friendly Cannon Beach, Oregon with our dogs this summer. We made the drive down there to check out the off-leash dog beach they have – and were not disappointed!

This was the first time we let the dogs off-leash in an unenclosed area. We were nervous at first, but quickly realized what good dogs we have. They stayed close to us the entire walk down the beach and came immediately back when they strayed a little too far or there was something we didn’t want them eating/jumping on/retrieving.
The dogs had a really fun time frolicking down the beach in the sand. Neither were too interested in going into the ocean.
After our long walk on the beach we went to Driftwood Restaurant and Lounge. We sat out on the dog-friendly deck (along with a bunch of other people with dogs) and had lunch.

We stayed at this dog-friendly AirBnB in Warrenton, which is just north of Cannon Beach. The photos don’t do it justice – it was a really cute little cabin, very roomy, with everything we needed. There is a little outdoor area with a fire pit, too, though we didn’t get a chance to make use of it.
We had a really great time at Cannon Beach and can’t wait to go back!

Your dogs are very cute. Lots of love!
